Can you make this go viral?
Question: Can you make this go viral?
I hear this being said all the time. Not just from clients but also in my day to day life. With social media being so integrated into our daily happenings, we even want our personal videos to spread like wildfire. Whereas in the "good old days" brands, businesses and rock stars were the only ones creating advertisements & videos, now a dancing kitten filmed on an iPhone can bring more views (and more money) than a million pound campaign.

So the UK spent most of 2012 slowly catching on to the fact that you need to use social media for both brand awareness and customer service. I would say that at least 70% of the brands that I had either come into contact with, looked up or researched (in 2012) had recently started moving towards social media in some sort of form. Whether that be by hiring an agency or by hiring a full time social media team in house. Was it proving effective? Of course. Anyone who opens up a new stream for voicing a message will find some sort of success even if it is initially a small result.

Starting out in Social Media Part 1
It's a crazy world online. I mean, it never stops, it never sleeps, its millions of people without fear of getting punched in the face, or red faced, voicing what they want, when they want, where they want. Of course it's daunting for a business thinking of getting their toes wet in amongst it all.

Social Media for some (including us) contains under its umbrella - 'community management' amongst other similar titles and process names.
